  Join us as we create small floral arrangements in teacups for residents of Bay Path in Duxbury to honor Mother’s Day.  

  Bring your love of flowers and color and your favorite floral scissors or clippers.  All materials will be supplied on site. 

  Garden Club members of all levels of design experience are welcome at this workshop - pursuing our club mission of horticultural therapy. Limit 12 slots. Guests are welcome - so feel free to bring a friend.  

  Friday, May 10th  (9 AM-12 PM) at Duxbury Free Library, Merry Room on lower level.

  Using Native Plants in the Landscape

  Native plants have immense value outside of just looking pretty. Having bountiful native plants in your garden helps to support beneficial insects, serves to conserve and improve water, reduces dependency on pesticides, and so much more. We will discuss why it is important to choose native plants, how to choose the best plants for your space, and how to care for your garden.

• Floral Design Workshop: Exhibition Table (no prior experience required)

  We will be working on a design type called 

  ~ Exhibition Table ~

  This is similar to designing a window for a department store to promote home goods. It is not designed for actual eating (no table) just to make you think about the items you might want…such as cups/glasses, dishes, napkins, etc. Please bring a small vase (we will be making a floral component that you will take home) plus two or more coordinating plates, glasses and napkins (plastic may be easier) to work with. Feel free to bring a table cloth too if you have one that you like.
  

  This workshop is lead by CGCD members, Lisa Pattinson & Mariette Wooden.
