PROGRAMS, COMMITTEES, VOLUNTEERS, OPENINGS
Plant Sale The club is looking for members to take over this program. If you are interested, please email me. Thank you. | 2025 Town Beautification Watering Please sign up for site watering by clicking SUG link below. Each member should commit to (2) week watering slot at one of the (8) sites around town. Shifts begin Sundays, June through mid September. You will be reminded by email 3 days before your 2 weeks slot. Please bring: clippers for deadheading, a broom and dust pan, and a means of removing debris from the site, and where necessary, water. Some sites are irrigated and a watering can is ideal, others are on timed inground systems, and a few sites require importing water. If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact the site Captains. As always, safety is of utmost concern. Orange cones are great to alert cars of your presence and don't forget to wear your apron or safety shirt. Thank you for being such a vital part of keeping out town beautiful! | Community Liaison Description update coming | Floral Design Education & Workshops Accredited NGC Judges, Marietta and Lisa, lead workshops throughout the year to educate the members on principles of design. Topics include several of the defined design types in the National Garden Club Handbook including Line Design, Grouped Mass, Traditional Mass (petite), and Parallel design. They often incorporate workshops on leaf manipulation, topiaries and table designs. These workshops are intended to include both beginners to seasoned designers. The hands-on experience is intended to encourage a love of floral design and encourage members to participate in the Blooms events, Club and regional Flower shows and other floral inspired events. |
