CROSS STREET FLOWER FARM, with Nikki Bartley

Nikki Bartley started Cross Street Flower Farm on a small plot in her front yard in 2015.  Cross Street Flower Farm has grown at a dizzying pace over the past 7 years.

Today Cross Street Flower Farm grows on 7 acres of preserved town owned farmland at the 300-year-old Jacob’s Farm in Norwell.  Nikki and the Cross Street team grow over 50 varieties of specialty cut flowers using sustainable, natural methods.

The fields explode with color from early spring through late fall.  The farm tells the story of the seasons through flowers beginning with over 100,000 tulips and daffodils in April; 10,000 ranunculus and poppies in May; sweet peas and over 4,000 peonies in June.   The fields peak with 3 acres of zinnias, sunflowers, and many more summer varieties.  Over Two acres of magnificent dahlias end the season in fall.

Cross Street now serves over 1,000 flower share members over the season, starting with the Spring share, June share, and transitioning to the Summer and Dahlias shares.  They also sell hundreds of bouquets and flower bunches in the Barn Shop each week, along with a curated selection of gifts, home goods, gardening tools, house plants and more.  In addition, the Cross Street team hosts Cut Your Own events as well as Grow Your Own Cut Flower and Floral Design workshops throughout the season.

Cross Street Flower Farm was named Best of Boston 2021 for Best Floral CSA, and was recently featured on ABC Channel 5’s Chronicle Show, WBUR Radio Boston, Edible Boston.
