  ~ GCFM Design Workshops ~

  I’d like to call your attention to two design classes that are being advertised on the Garden Club Federation of MA, Inc. website.  One is a class on transparency design which will be taught by Ruth Evans on October 28 in Dedham.  The second is an underwater design class that will be held in Wareham on December 1 and taught by Judy Morgan.  I am so thrilled to be able to offer these classes with unusual designs and excellent teachers.

  These classes are good for new flower show school judges, student judges, aspiring flower show entrants, and anyone who wants to experiment with their floral arranging and create something different.

  You are invited to attend a holiday themed pressed flower art workshop on Friday, December 5, (9:30 AM - 11 AM) at the Senior Center. Workshop will be taught by Floral Design Chairs, Lisa Pattinson and Mariette Wooden.

  Cost is $15 pp. Class is limited to 20 participants. 6 SPOTS still open. Registration/cancellation cutoff is November 30.

  The workshop includes instruction on pressing plant material for use in Botanical Arts Design and Crafts. You will go home with matted holiday picture, in a gold wood frame and glass. Examples are attached.

  Participants are asked to bring:

  • Scissors
  • Exacto-knife, optional
  • Ruler or straight edge
  • Tweezers
  • Sharp pencil
  • Small paint brushes to apply glue

   Celebrate the Season with CGCD

  Join fellow GCGD members for a festive holiday gathering on Tuesday, December 9th, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The event will be held at Pilgrim Church, Fellowship Hall (2nd floor). To enhance our celebration, a light supper will be provided, and members are invited to contribute appetizers and desserts.   Festive Holiday Planter Workshop

  At 6:30 p.m., enjoy a hands-on workshop led by the talented Sally Ann Thomas-Farnum and Kama Wien. During this session, you will have the opportunity to create a blooming planter that will stay vibrant throughout the season.

          

  All materials necessary for your planter will be supplied, including a reusable container, a variety of plants, planting materials, and decorative ribbons and embellishments to make your creation uniquely yours.

  The cost to participate in the workshop is $35. Please note that space is limited to 40 members for the workshop. When you RSVP be sure to click the  'Attending & participate in the workshop' to secure your spot & a payment link will appear. Or simply select the RSVP option 'Attending & no workshop'.
